On Tuesday, Year R walked to the War Memorial on the edge of War Memorial Park. They went to look at the poppy wreaths that had been laid on Remembrance Sunday as part of learning about why we wear poppies to remember. While they were there, they found the wreath that our year 6 pupils had laid as part of the Remembrance service on Sunday. They also laid their own home-made wreaths on the memorial.

On the walk back, they stopped to look at the birds in the aviary and completed some wax rubbings of the different surfaces around the park.
