School Uniform

Our uniform is stocked by Skoolkit in Basingstoke www.skoolkit.co.uk

We believe that school uniform looks smart and contributes to a sense of value and identity.  All of our pupils wear the uniform and parents are strongly encouraged to support us in this.  Variations for ethnic or cultural groups will be accommodated and should be discussed with the headteacher.

Winter uniform includes:

sweatshirts* / cardigans* / v-neck sweaters*   royal blue
polo shirts* / shirts / blouses –    plain white
trousers / skirts / pinafore dress – dark grey / black
socks or tights  white, grey or black only

School shoes:

Boys and girls must wear sensible school shoes that protect and support their feet.  Sensible black boots may be worn in adverse weather conditions or worn under trousers with the appearance of shoes.  High heels of any kind are not suitable for school.

Trainers – children are required to wear trainers for PE activities and may change into them for play and lunch times.  Children must not wear trainers as part of their normal uniform.

In addition summer uniform includes:

checked dress light blue
school shorts dark grey / black

Sandals:

Boys and girls may wear plain sandals in the summer that are securely strapped to their feet and only worn with socks.  I would urge parents to consider the suitability of sandals in light of potential accidents involving chair legs and playing in the woodland during lunchtimes.

PE uniform:

polo shirt* / T-shirt pale blue
plain shorts navy
PE socks white
tracksuit – for outdoors in the winter plain navy blue
trainers / plimsols

(Items marked * feature the school logo and are available from the school office – depending on stock – although plain polo shirts purchased from any high street store / supermarket are more than acceptable.)

For safety reasons the wearing of earrings is discouraged as it represents a risk to those wearing them and others, particularly in PE / games.  Where earrings are worn they should be plain gold or silver studs only and it is the responsibility of parents to provide a sticking plaster to cover earrings that cannot be removed.

Watches may be worn; all other jewellery is not allowed.

The school accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any earrings or watches worn to school.

Long hair should be tied back in school.

Protective Clothing

Please provide an apron or overall; an old shirt is ideal for Art, Design and Technology lessons.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL CLOTHING SHOULD BE CLEARLY NAMED – LABELLED
