Welcome to St John's virtual school. Information and activities for home learning are now being posted on Google Classrooms and will be updated daily (no longer on class pages). Our parent support page has links to other activities your child might enjoy, including live daily online events. Hayley is updating personal challenges on the PE page and while we no longer meet for collective worship in school there are some ideas below for worship at home.
One of school Christian values is love. At this time, one of the ways we can show love to others is by staying at home to stop the spread of the virus. We can also send messages of encouragement. You might like to make some thank you cards that you could leave on your doorstep for people such as those who deliver the post or your shopping, or for your adult to take to the supermarket, or perhaps you might like to write letters or Easter cards to post to people in local care homes who are no longer allowed visitors at this time. Below is a document with ideas for each day in May.
Every Thursday, in partnership with the Church of England, Oak National Academy is releasing an assembly, which remains available to watch afterwards. The assemblies can be found here: https://www.thenational.academy/assembly
Prayer Spaces in Schools has released a set of prayer activities related to the current pandemic that you might like to try at home. You might also enjoy the 30 day Lego Bible challenge too.
