A St John’s learner is independent when they organise themselves to work on their own; selecting their approach and resources in order to achieve an aim.  Children can demonstrate this through making decisions; their approach to a task; how they will organise their time and how the outcome will be presented. In addition, they are independent thinkers who stand up for their own thoughts and ideas and make their own decisions about their actions.
