In another busy week at St John's, we have competed in two Basingstoke competitions. 

 

On Tuesday, we took a team of 6 boys and 6 girls to compete in the Indoor Athletics Qualifier at Cranbourne. All of the children had to compete in individual running events, team relays and then two other activities, including throwing and jumping. The children did really well, with many finishing in the top 3 spots at each event. When the total points were calculated, St John's had done brilliantly and managed to win the competition, finishing over 50 points clear of second place. The children will now go on to compete in the finals in March. 

 

The following day, we took two teams of Year 1/2 children to compete in a gymnastics competition at the Active Life Centre. The children had to complete a range of skills and perform a routine. The children showed excellent determination and skill and our A team managed to finish in 3rd place. A fantastic achievement.
