The Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS is the curriculum for 5 year olds and under.

In foundation stage we plan as a team to ensure we are providing all children with equal opportunities.  We teach phonics daily and plan from the Read, Write, Inc programme, adapting for specific children where needed.  We also plan the rest of the children's learning through a theme based approach.  This follows a learning journey which is in line with the rest of the school.  Our planning process enables us to meet the needs of every child and teach them at an appropriate level.
